Rohe introduction and map
The Tāmaki Makaurau region stretches from the South Kaipara in the north to the southern reaches of the Manukau Harbour and covers more than 5,600 square kilometres.
The Rohe map defines rohe boundaries. It differs from the Iwi maps which provide population densities.
For these profiles, New Zealand is divided into the following six Rohe areas - Ikaroa-Rāwhiti, Tāmaki Makaurau, Waikato-Waiariki, Te Tai Hauāuru, Te Taitokerau and Te Waipounamu.
